Young Thug says he won’t drop new music in 2018 to support deaf brother

American rapper, Young Thug whose real name is "Jeffrey Lamar Williams", won’t be coming through for us in 2018 with a new song as he’s got his attention on something else.

Young Thug who was in the news few days ago after he disclosed that he would be changing his stage name to “SEX”, in a short interview with Hypebeast mainly about fashion, disclosed that his deaf brother is the reason he wouldn’t be dropping new songs this year.
“I got a deaf brother. I got a brother that can’t hear or talk, so I wanna act deaf for a year so I won’t put up any new music this year. 2019 I’ma put out probably Hi Tunes,” he told the interviewer.
Here’s a video of the interview;

He tweeted on Tuesday;
“For now on call me SEX!!!”
The “All da Smoke” rapper, didn’t give any explanation for the change.

According to Billboard, it’s not the first time he’s tried changing this name. In August 2016 he wanted to go by No, My Name is Jeffrey.
“I had a long-term relationship with Young Thug and I’m kind of picky. So I felt like I ain’t wanna be in front of Bill Gates or Oprah Winfrey,” the rapper said. “I ain’t want my kids to grow up and call me Thug. I don’t want anybody to kind of look at me like that. So I’m gonna just use my real name.”
