Embattled Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose has been granted bail to the tune of ₦50 million by the Federal High Court, Lagos.

The judge, Justice Mojisola Olatoregun granted the former governor bail with two sureties in like sum, According to the Punch reports.

Fayose was charged before the court on 11 counts of fraud by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Fayose was arraigned before Justice Mojisola Olatoregun by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on charges of money laundering and abuse of office.

He arrived at the court premises on Wednesday around 9am, escorted by armed security operatives and officials of the EFCC, and his supporters.

Fayose is facing an 11-count charge bothering on receiving illegal monies to fund his 2014 governorship campaign in Ekiti State, among other allegations of benefiting from proceeds of money laundering.
